27 year-old Beth, totally blind from a gunshot wound she suffered at 17,
and deeply committed to the Antipsychiatry movement after witnessing her
first girlfriend's life ruined by the mental health system, is with her new
girlfriend, Tina, a reporter for an alternative paper, whose recent article
on Beth and the Mad Panther Party has prompted a flurry of calls to the
Mad Panthers' voice mail. One particularly disturbing message is from a
young girl, who has described what can only be the symptoms of Tardive
Dyskinesia from antipsychotic drugs she has been forced to take. In this
scene, Beth returns her call from Tina's little lakefront cottage. 9 minutes.
